Is your child struggling with spelling, sentence construction or getting their ideas down on paper? I offer personalised primary English tuition in Havant and Portsmouth, supporting children across KS1 and KS2 to develop their writing skills, strengthen their understanding of grammar and punctuation and become more independent writers. As a qualified primary teacher, I use targeted teaching and practical activities to develop spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPaG), sentence structure, vocabulary and creative writing. Sessions focus on building secure foundations, from writing accurate sentences and applying spelling rules to organising ideas and producing longer pieces of writing. Whether your child needs support with handwriting, spelling and grammar, finds writing overwhelming or is ready to develop more sophisticated writing techniques, sessions are carefully planned around their individual needs. My aim is to help children become more accurate, confident and capable writers, with the skills to express their ideas clearly.
